Repurposing One Podcast Episode Into a Week of Content
Turn a single recorded episode into clips, posts, and an article so you publish more without recording more.

If you record a podcast but then spend hours creating separate social posts, newsletters, and blog articles from scratch, you are doing the work twice. A simple repurposing routine lets one conversation feed your marketing for a full week.
Start with the transcript
Generate a transcript right after recording. Most editing and hosting tools offer one, and you can review it quickly. The transcript is your raw material for everything else. Read through once and highlight:
- Clear, quotable explanations of a legal concept
- Short stories or examples (anonymized and general)
- Common questions listeners would ask
- Any strong opinions that stand on their own
Confidentiality and accuracy check
Before anything goes out, scan for client details, identifying facts, and any statement that could read as legal advice for a specific situation. If you use an AI tool to summarize or clip, do not upload anything confidential, and always review the output yourself. Confirm guests are comfortable with the clips you plan to share.
A five-day plan
- Monday: Publish the full episode with a short written summary and a link on your firm website.
- Tuesday: Share a 30 to 60 second clip with captions. Pick the most useful single point.
- Wednesday: Post a text-only takeaway on LinkedIn or your main platform, using three bullet points from the episode.
- Thursday: Send a brief email to your list with the episode link and one question you answered.
- Friday: Turn the transcript into a short article, edited for readability, and post it on your site.
Keep a reusable template
Create a simple document with the same sections each time: episode link, three key points, best quote, two clip timestamps, and a draft post. Fill it out in thirty minutes after every recording. Over time this becomes a standard operating procedure you can hand to an assistant or virtual helper.
Choose formats that fit your strengths
You do not need to be on every platform. If you hate video, focus on audio clips, written posts, and email. If you are comfortable on camera, lean on clips. Pick two channels and do them consistently rather than six inconsistently.
Track what works
Note which clips and posts get replies, calls, or new subscribers. After a month, look for patterns and do more of what resonates. Drop formats that take effort without results.
Your next step
Pick your most recent episode and run the five-day plan. Spend thirty minutes building your repurposing template as you go, so next time takes half the effort.
